It's Gala Time at PS 110
Wallflowers welcome.
As a teen in small-town America, I found release for my pent-up angst through dance. I’d head to the local warehouse and tear through the space in a combination of intense gymnastics and dance. Exercising my rage at the stuffy town elders who banned cutting a rug in our bucolic hamlet.

I struck out to the big city, where dancing was legal, or so I thought.
Happily, dancing is finally legal and it can actually make our school better! That’s right, kick off your Sunday shoes and raise funds for our students.
Get Your Groove On

I realize now I’ve made this sound like a dance-a-thon, ala Grease, it’s not… It’s the PS110 PTA Gala on Saturday, March 9th at 7 PM. And, yes, wallflowers are welcome.
All proceeds benefit PS 110 and help us pay for all the amazing art residencies, assemblies, garden, library, ParentSquare, website, staff appreciation and support, Book Fair, Field Day and so much more!

Get Your Bid On
Can’t make it? Not to worry, you can participate in the auction online.
The Auction is currently LIVE! This is an online auction so everyone can participate. Even friends and family! Please share FAR & WIDE! We have some insanely talented grownups who have contributed some amazing items! You will need to register to participate so that you can be alerted when one of your watch items gets bid on, or if you get outbid! Thank you to all the grownups, and local companies who have donated and to all our volunteers!
Get Your Give On
We are still in need of volunteers to help the night run smoothly. It’s a great way to meet new people and the majority of the volunteer sessions are just 30 mins. Please help us make this event a success by signing up to volunteer and donating a bit of your time.
We hope to see you all there.
Thank you for your support,
Jason and the PS 110 PTA

Presented without comment. The lyrics to Footloose.
Been working so hard
I'm punching my card
Eight hours, for what?
Oh, tell me what I got
I've got this feeling
That time's just holding me down
I'll hit the ceiling
Or else I'll tear up this town
So now I gotta cut loose
Footloose
Kick off the Sunday shoes
Please, Louise
Pull me off of my knees
Jack, get back
Come on before we crack
Lose your blues
Everybody cut footloose
You're playing so cool
Obeying every rule
Deep way down in your heart
You're burning, yearning for some
Somebody to tell you
That life ain't passing you by
I'm trying to tell you
It will if you don't even try
You'll get by if you'd only
Cut loose
Footloose
Kick off the Sunday shoes
Ooh-wee, Marie
Shake it, shake it for me
Whoa, Milo
Come on, come on, let's go
Lose your blues
Everybody cut footloose
Yeah, ooh-oh-oh
(Cut footloose)
Yeah, ooh-oh-oh
(Cut footloose)
Yeah, ooh-oh-oh
(Cut footloose)
Ooh
you've got to turn me around
(Second) and put your feet on the ground
(Third) gotta take the hold of all
(Four) I'm turning it loose
Footloose
Kick off the Sunday shoes
Please, Louise
Pull me off of my knees
Jack, get back
Come on before we crack
Lose your blues
Everybody cut footloose
(Footloose)
Footloose
(Footloose)
Kick off the Sunday shoes (c'mon, girl)
Please, Louise
Pull me off of my knees
Jack, get back
Come on before we crack
Lose your blues
Everybody cut, everybody cut
Everybody cut, everybody cut
Everybody cut, everybody cut
(Everybody)
Everybody cut footloose!
