Ms. Cieloszyk is in her fourth year with our community at P.S. 110 and her first years as Interim Acting Principal following Ms. Raciunas’ retirement. We decided to put the most vital questions to her, and she responded with her own Policy of Truth (if you know, you know).

1. How do you pronounce your last name?

Ms. C: Cielo (Spanish for sky) + ski is one easy way. šŸ™‚

2. What was the first concert you attended?

Depeche Mode

3. What inspired you to pursue education?

I have been a student in some way my whole life pursuing some type of degree to better myself and grow. I love learning new things and even as a little girl I would set up a classroom made up of stuffed toys and teach them while doing my homework. So, teaching was always natural to me, and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else.

4. What did you love to read as a kid?

Nancy Drew.

5. What was your very first job?

Cashier at a grocery store.

6. Have any hobbies or secret talents?

I love practicing and teaching yoga. I am 500-hour-certified and used to teach 2-3 times a week before having my son.

I also taught Latin and Ancient Greek for 16 years and love to study languages and all cultures.

(Greek Mythology themed yoga lesson as auction item anyone?)

7. What is one lesson you hope our students will learn at P.S. 110 and carry for life?

Do your best and be kind. Mistakes are an amazing way to learn and vital to growing. Be gentle with yourself. (I guess that is 3 šŸ˜‰)

Bonus: Last concert you went to?

Bruce Springsteen.

Whoa! Answered like a Boss.

Thanks, Ms. Cielo+ā›·ļø.

Don’t forget to join the PTA meeting this Friday morning at 8:45 and we hope to see everyone at the Fall Festival on Saturday.

Perhaps you are Born to Run (Callback!)…one of the many fun games or get your spooky on at the Haunted House. Volunteer here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeO09ravbEtAvlggGwIiIA6jyO9m22K1U693EDtmOIPNqwPpw/viewform
