The Latest

Due to expected severe weather conditions, on Tuesday, February 13:

  •  All NYC public schools are closed and instruction will take place remotely for all grades;

  • After-school programs, Public Schools Athletic League (PSAL) activities, adult education, and YABC programs are canceled.

How do I know if school is closed?

Listen to your transistor radio (aka “Wirelesss”) OR…

ParentSquare will provide updates (Google Play | App Store | Website)

You can get the latest official status on the School Calendar and Closures page, NYC311 Online, Twitter @NYC311, or the NYC311 App. The PTA Instagram is also a great place for info.

What do we do if there is no school?

NYC schools now move to remote learning on snow days #ThanksCOVID. The schedule for each class will vary.

Login to Google Classroom @ 8:10AM

Students should log into their Google Classroom at 8:10. Attendance will taken by all classroom teachers.  If you have any questions, please contact your child's teacher.

Your teacher may send you a class-specific link, but you can also log in at this link and your class should appear: https://classroom.google.com/

Students’ Google Classroom ID should end with “@nycstudents.net”

After-school?

Nope. Unless otherwise noted, after-school programs are also canceled.

Coat Drive for Migrant Children

Over 50,000 migrant children have arrived in New York City in the past 18 months. Our incredible Student Council is hosting a drive for children’s coats and warm clothing and challenging all of us to do our part in supporting asylum seekers.

  • Please, bring donations to the drop-off bins located in the lobby.

  • You can drop off coats and other warm clothes items from 8:10AM-4PM each school day.

  • The drive runs through the end of February.

Thanks! And stay warm.
